Financial advice goes face-to-face – in Oldham

While medical appointments are now online and virtually every business meeting is done from a screen, one company has decided that only the personal will do.

Which is why they have located to Upturn’s Hive in Oldham.

BTM Wealth Management decided to stage themselves at the heart of the borough because, “Oldhamers work hard and deserve the very best when it comes to their life savings.”

So says MD Ben McLoughlin who has also committed his team to volunteering with local charities. They will offer social concerns at the Spindles shopping centre hub, sound fiscal support, too.

 “We already have a large footprint in Oldham but know that what our customers really want is to have a relationship of trust” said Ben, “it is their money after all, and they want reassurance that they have made the right decision. That can only be done in person.

Our dealings with this amazing local community have also convinced us that working here has to involve giving something back.”

BTM is the latest organisation to make The Hive their Oldham home and will be rubbing shoulders with a diverse band who include an online tutoring service and a campaign to crack down on anti-social behaviour.

“While our co-working businesses seem to have such different purposes, they are united in one goal – to help grow Oldham’s economy” said Anwar Ali OBE, managing director of Upturn. “BTM will be a very useful addition to the team, especially as 70% of small businesses are struggling to access finance.” 

BTM has their main base in Spinningfields, the financial district of Manchester. Their main lines of business are investment, protection, and retirement planning. The company also makes this impressive promise – it never imposes a time restriction when it is dispensing advice at an interview.
